About Alpha-Gal Sucks

Our founder, Mark, knows personally the challenges of Alpha-gal. In 2014, Mark developed Alpha-gal after a tick bite on an ordinary camping trip. That diagnosis completely changed Mark’s life and kicked off a life-threatening allergy, which has sent him to the Emergency Room countless times.

Determined to help others who develop Alpha-gal, Mark formed Alpha-gal Sucks! which was inspired by his daughter’s design and catchy slogan. AGS is a place that offers clear and easy to understand information about Alpha-gal Syndrome. Alpha Gal Sucks was created to raise broader awareness and provide resources regarding Alpha-gal Syndrome because ALPHA-GAL SUCKS but life doesn’t have to.
